Caller asks BBC journalist of Indian ethnicity to 'shut up', 'your own country doesn't provide anything'

A caller told a radio presenter of Indian ethnicity to "do us a favour and shut up" when the latter was hosting a programme on the provision of free school meals in the UK. The racist caller subjected BBC journalist Sangita Myska, who hosts shows every weekend on phone-in and talk radio station LBC, to xenophobic rants live on air on 28 August, according to a report on Wales Online.

Myska, who was born in Tanzania in east Africa and is of Indian ethnicity, moved to the UK as a child. She advocates free school meals, but the caller insisted footballer Marcus Rashford (who was born in Manchester and has campaigned to eradicate food poverty) and the radio jockey had no right to speak on such issues in
