Kangana slams Bollywood for selective secularism, demands justice for Ajay Pandita

Kangana took up the matter of the killing of Kashmiri Pandits in the valley, appealing to the prime minister to restore their home and hearth

Strongly condemning the killing of Sarpanch Ajay Pandita in Anantnag, Kangana Ranaut on 10 June expressed her grief and anger, The actress also called out the Bollywood industry and other liberals for “selective secularism”. Her team shared a video on social media, urging Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take strict action against the incident.

In the video, the actress of Queen fame is seen holding a placard in her hand that reads, “I am Hindustan, I am Ashamed. Justice for Ajay Pandita. Murder in Anantnag. Jammu and Kashmir.”

“Kashmiri Pandits should be sent back to the state. Their land should rightfully be handed over. Justice should be served and Ajay Pandita’s sacrifice shouldn’t go waste,” Kangana Ranaut can be heard saying in the video.

Kangana seized the opportunity to raise the issue of genocide of Kashmiri Pandits in the valley and appeal to Prime Minister Modi that the sacrifice of Ajay Pandita should not go in vain.

Ajay Pandita had requested security two months ago. Terrorists shot the Kashmiri Pandit sarpanch dead on 8 June in District Anantnag of Jammu and Kashmir. Congress sarpanch of Lokbowan Larkipora, identified as Ajay Pandita, was fired upon by the terrorists who later succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.

Police said the sarpanch had gone to work in his orchard when he was attacked by the terrorists. The area has been cordoned off soon after the shooting.

Speaking of the plight of Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir, actress Kangana said that gradually the Hindu population has been decreasing in the valley. She speaks of the atrocities meted out at the Hindus in the valley, how they are subjected to extreme brutality and atrocities.

The Hindus in Kashmir have been killed en masse over the years, which is why now only a handful of them are left in the valley. Saying this, Kangana requests Prime Minister Modi to help the Kashmiri Pandits return safely to their homeland and secure their lives by giving them back their land and property. Hinduism should be re-established in the valley; this is the only way to provided justice to Ajay Pandita, said the actress.
