Following the marathon hearing of the case in the Supreme Court that lasted 40 days, the much-awaited verdict of the Supreme Court on the Ayodhya dispute arrived today. A five-judge bench of the Supreme Court gave a unanimous judgment on the politically sensitive Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute. Rejecting the claim of Nirmohi Akhara, the Supreme Court considered Ram Lalla Virajaman and Sunni Waqf Board as parties.

Then, the apex court ruled in favour of Ram Lalla Virajaman. The court also ordered that 5 acre of land be given to the Sunni Waqf Board somewhere else in Ayodhya. The court has ordered the central government to form a trust for the construction of the temple in three months. The trust has been asked to have a representative from the Nirmohi Akhara.
