Mumbai: The adamant Maharashtra government’s stance on not conducting a CBI probe in Sushant Singh Rajput’s mysterious death case has raised questions of suspected state interference and complicity in a case of criminal investigation. Sushant’s fans have begun to question Aaditya Thackeray for what appears like his involvement in the case.
Aaditya Thackeray is a known friend of film actress Disha Patni who, in turn, used to be on good terms with Sushant. Disha worked with Sushant in his superhit film on India’s former cricket captain MS Dhoni. Besides, Aaditya Thackeray is known to humour Sooraj Pancholi publicly. Social media users are now joining the dots to see a link of the Thackeray heir to the case of unnatural death of Sushant, as Sooraj had heckled Sushant in a party hosted by Salman Khan — one of several instances that allegedly pushed the now-dead actor into a state of marginalisation in the film trade and consequent depression.
But the connection of the son of the chief minister of Maharashtra does not end with his acquaintance or friendship with Sooraj Pancholi.
The videos that have gone viral on YouTube claim Aaditya Thackeray had visited Sushant’s house the evening before the mysterious death of the latter. They claim that the party that Sushant had organised before his death included Sooraj Pancholi and his dubious friend Imtiaz Khatri, who accompanied Pancholi as well as Aaditya Thackeray in public functions.
Another video of Sushant’s fans has gone viral, where Imtiaz Khatri is seen pushing Sushant in a very insolent manner and taking him somewhere by car.
Imtiaz Khatri, a builder by profession, has close ties with Sooraj Pancholi, Karan Johar, Salman Khan and the Bhatt family.
According to Sushant’s fans, after the spar in Salman’s party, Sushant was killed and, to pass it off as a case of suicide, the killers sought the help of Sandeep, Sushant’s servant and even the dead actor’s sister!
Fans allege further that the post-mortem report from Cooper Hospital was fabricated under political pressure.
It is not easy to find out how true all these claims or theories are. But the Shiv Sena government’s silence and Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh’s dismissal of the idea of a CBI investigation despite such strong demand from crores of fans of Sushant point at a possible state-sponsored cover-up.
